GIS INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

                 GIS INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Ø  CHECK THE FLOOR LEVEL AND I BEAMS ARE IN PROPER LEVEL IF SO DO LEVEL CORRECTIONS BY GRINDING OR USING METAL SHIMS

Ø  CHECK THE LOADING CAPACITY OF OFFLOADING PLATFORM IN FRONT OF THE GIS ROOM. IT SHOULD BE CAPABLE OF CARRYING THE LOAD OF THE HEAVIER GIS PARTS AND SHOULD HAVE AN EXCESS MARGIN OF 1.5 TONS.

Ø  ENSURE THAT ROOM IS DUST PROOF AND CLEAN

Ø  ENSURE THAT OPENINGS PROVIDED ARE AS PER APPROVED DRAWING AND CHECK ONCE AGAIN AFTER INSTALLING BAYS EITHER IT WAS MATCHING TO BAY OR NOT

Ø  ENSURE THAT NO OTHER THEN RELATED TO GIS INSTALLATION PERSON IS ALLOWED TO WORK AREA

Ø  STICK GIS GA DRAWINGS ON THE WALLS FOR EASY REFERENCE

Ø  ENERGIZE THE HIGH BEAM LIGHTING CIRCUITS IN THE GIS ROOM

Ø  ENSURE THAT THE LOAD TESTING OF EOT CRANE IS COMPLETED PRIOR TO THE SHIFTING OF GIS BAYS

Ø  PLAN THE SHIFTING OF GIS TO SITE AFTER IDENTIFYING SUITABLE LOCATIONS IN FRONT OF GIS ROOM FOR STORAGE OF GIS BAYS, ACCESSORIES AND THE PARKING OF OFFLOADING CRANE AND TRAILERS.

Ø  FIRST CHECK THE GIS BELONGS TO YOUR SITE AND AFTER OPENING THE PACKINGS CHECK THE SI NOS MATCHING WITH FAT REPORT

Ø  CONFIRM WEATHER THE GIS BAYS WERE SINGLE OR DOUBLE COMPARTMENT

Ø  SHIFT THE BAYS TO INSIDE AND PLACE IN PROPER POSITION AS PER EQUIPMENT LATOUT

Ø  AFTER PLACING IT IN PROPER POSITION START THE PROCEDURE OF COMPARTMENT COUPLING

Ø  CHECK THE TOTAL MATERIALS ARRIVED AS PER THE PACKING LIST AND CHECK FOR THE TOOLS AND THE EQUIPMENTS TO BE SUPPLIED BY THE MANUFACTURER AND THE INSTALLATION CONTRACTOR
.
Ø  AFTER REMOVING THE COMPARTMENT JOINT CAP OF BOTH BAYS CLEAN THE 
CHAMBER THOROUGHLY WITH VACCUME CLEANER AND APPLY THE WHITE GREESE TO GAS CUT(INDUSTRIAL TYPE)

Ø  CHECK THE MALE AND FEMALE CONTACTS WERE SPACED AT EQUAL DISTANCE IF NOT FAULTY CONTACT TO BE CHANGED

Ø  THEN SLOWLY CLOSE THE BOTH THE BAY COMPARTMENTS BY GETTING IT TOGETHER REMOVE THE POLYTHENE COVER (TEMPORARILY CLOSED TO AVOID DUST ENTRY) AND START FIXING OF BOLT AND NUT TO COUPLING.
Ø  IN SAME WAY COMPLETE THE TOTAL BUS

Ø  AFTER COMPLETING THE COMPARTMENT COUPLING WE CAN START THE FOLLOWING PARALLEL WORKS

1.       DENSITY METER FIXING
2.       VACCUMING AND GAS FILLING
3.       VT INSTALLATION IS SAME AS COMPART MENT JOINTING
4.       PLATFORM ARRANGEMENT
5.       WELDING TO I BEAM
Ø  BEFORE VACCUMING FOR BUS BAR AND CABLE SEAL END WE HAD TO COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING WORKS
PD SENSOR TO BE INSTALLED
FEMALE CONNECTOR FOR CABLE SEAL END TO BE FIXED
      VACCUM AND GAS FILLING
IDENTIFY THE BAY AND CHAMBER FOR WHICH VACCUM TO BE DONE
OPEN THE CAP OF THE CHAMBER TO BE VACCUM CLEAN IT AND SILICA GEL TO BE REMOVED CLOSE THE CHAMBER PLATE
CONNECT  THE HOSE TO THE GD VALVE  TO VACCUM PUMP AND ENSURE THAT DENSITY METERS AND WERE INSTALLED PRIOR VACCUMING.
CONNECT THE PIRANI GUAGE SENSOR TO VACCUM PUMP
NOTE THE START TIME AND RECORD THE VALUES FREQUENTLY TIME AND VACCUM PRESSURE AND TIL IT REACHES 0.2TORR
